Crocus is the lighthouse keeper at the entrance of Grand Line. He lives inside Laboon and he is the one who threads the wounds that he caused himself when he hit against the Red Line. Crocus temporarily belonged to the Roger Pirates, he joined the band hopping to meet in their journey with the Rumbar Pirates, those who left Laboon. However, Crocus failed in his quest, listening the rumor that the crew left the Grand Line.

Gol D. Roger was the first Pirate King who was executed 20 years ago. He reveal before death where his legendary teasure, the One Piece, was hidden. Then the Great Pirate Age began, all the pirates sail to the Grand Line in search of the One Piece to demand Roger's position.

One of the crewmembers of the Roger Pirates that enjoyed provoking the apprentices, as in the Shanks' and Buggy's discussions. Not much is known about him, not even his role in the crew, but he was present at the battle of Edd War against Shiki's fleet and he fights using a double-bladed axe.

Nicknamed "Dark King", Rayleigh was the second in command of the Roger Pirates, the right hand of the Pirate King. His first appearance in the series was disciplining in one of their many discussions his young cadets Shanks and Buggy. Later, we would know that he was the second in command of the Roger Pirates, for who he always kept a great admiration. Rayleigh confess that Roger was the one who surrender to the Marines, thus assuming that Roger would begin a new Piracy Era. Rayleigh now runs a ships "coating" business in the Sabaody Archipelago along with his partner Shakuyaku. Rayleigh has helped Luffy and his gang on numerous occasions, since in the past, Shanks told him that Luffy used the same words as their captain.
