The Gorousei continues to neutralize all the Den Den Mushi on the island, until Nusjuro decides to go further and launches an attack that cuts the floating island in half, freeing the Seraphim and government agents who were being held in the basement. As Vegapunk continues to talk about the war not being over yet, Imu observes a painting of a woman who resembles Vivi. Vegapunk reveals that in his quest for unlimited energy he created the Mother Flame, but a part of it was stolen and later used as fuel for the “Ancient Weapon” used in the destruction of the Kingdom of Lulusia. This event proves his theory that the world is sinking and he apologizes to everyone for being used for it. Vegapunk goes on to say that Joy Boy passed the three “Ancient Weapons” to the future generations, though he doesn't know his motivations. He explains that there are still many mysteries to be cleared up, but that there is one group that knows everything, the former crew of the Pirate King. Meanwhile, York warns the Gorousei that she has come to the conclusion that the signal is being sent from the Fabirio Phase, the “iron giant” is protecting it. Vegapunk wonders why the Pirate King's crew didn't do anything, as we see Rayleigh drunkenly laying on the bar counter asking to not ruin the “fun” for the youngsters.
