The CP-0 decides to enter the island without permission, abandoning their ship which ends up being destroyed by the sea beasts. Shaka decides to deploy the Seraphim under the command of Sentoumaru. However, Atlas decides to go and deal with CP-0 on her own. Vegapunk warns Luffy that the island is going to become a battlefield and suddenly disappears. Lucci manages to defeat Atlas with a single attack. When Luffy and the others return to the city they find Atlas' body with her head destroyed lying on the ground.
