Kizaru visits Vegapunk's new laboratory and warns him that the place was being watched. Saturn brings a proposal for Vegapunk and Kuma, he is willing to allow their deal, but demands that Kuma become part of the Shichibukai and become a weapon without a conscience. Vegapunk explains that Bonney's operation would take 6 months and a year of rest, while Kuma's transformation would take 2 years. To prevent Kuma from fleeing in that time difference, Bonney would be a hostage of the World Government. Kuma agrees to these conditions, but asks that Bonney spend his rest in the Sorbet Kingdom. The world is shocked by Kuma's sudden entry into the Shichibukai. Meanwhile, Kuma is sent to the East Blue to carry out his first orders.
